About Federal Polytechnic Nekede

Federal Polytechnic Nekede is one of the federal polytechnics in Nigeria that offers diverse undergraduate programmes. The university is located in Nekede, Imo State.

Federal Polytechnic, Nekede has 5 schools(faculties) of study; School of Engineering Technology(SET), School of Industrial and Applied Science(SIAS), School of Business Management Technology(SBMT), School of Humanities and Social Science(SHSS) and School of Environmental Development Technology(SEDT).

On 3 October 2025 Federal Polytechnic Nekede inaugurated Rev. Engr. Dr. Micheal Arimanwa as the 8th Rector of the Polytechnic and first Alumnus Rector of the institution.

Rev. Engr. Dr. Micheal Arimanwa is a Priest who is of the Civil Engineering Department, He’s the former HOD Civil engineering department, Former Dean School of Engineering
