Maritime Academy Post UTME – Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron Post UTME admission form is now available for the 2025/2026 session. Interested candidates should follow the lead below to apply.

Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron,has not yet invited suitable candidates for their JAMB UTME screening exercise for National Diploma programmes for the 2025/2026 session.

Below is the eligibility criteria that was used for the last session.

MAN Post UTME application is still ongoing. The deadline for registration has been extended until January 22, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for Maritime Academy

Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.

Applicants are required to possess the following:

1. A minimum of 175 marks in the 2025/2026 UTME for:
   • Nautical Science
   • Marine Engineering and
   • Electrical/Electronic Engineering
2. A minimum of 160 marks in the 2025/2026 UTME for Maritime Transport and Business Studies.
3. A minimum of five (5) credit passes in Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent obtained in not more than two sittings within the LAST FIVE YEARS in relevant subjects.
4. Applicant MUST have the correct JAMB subject combinations for each course of Interest.

Specific Requirements for MAN Post UTME

Below are the requirements for the last session, when there are changes we will update this information

Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent and JAMB Subject Combination.

1. Nautical Science: 

Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:

1. • English Language
   • Mathematics
   • Geography
   • Physics and any other relevant Science subjects obtained at NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.

UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION:

• • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Geography
  • Physics

2. Marine Engineering

Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:

1. • English Language
   • Mathematics
   • Physics
   • Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects

UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION:

• • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

3. Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:

1. • English Language
   • Mathematics
   • Physics
   • Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects

UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION:

• • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

4. Maritime Transport and Business Studies

Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:

1. • English Language
   • Mathematics
   • Economics/Commerce and any two relevant subjects from Government, Principles of Account.

UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION:

1. • English Language
   • Mathematics
   • Economics
   • Commerce/Government/ Principles of Account

Physical and Medical Fitness

• Due to the peculiar requirements of the Institution and the maritime industry as well as the International Convention on Standard of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) 95 as amended in 2010 which mandates all seafarers to be physically and mentally fit to work in the maritime industry, all applicants are expected to be physically and mentally fit to be able to withstand the rigours/challenges of the cadetship training.
• Candidates must undergo some medical tests at any Government Hospital and upload their medical status on the application portal. The list of medical tests can be found on the application portal dashboard.
• The candidate should print out Application Medical Examination Form (Form M) from the application portal. This form should be duly completed and signed before uploading on the portal.

Marital Status

• Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the programme.

Age Limit for Each Programme

• Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as at 20th November 2025.
• Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as at 20th November 2025.

How to Apply for Maritime Academy Post UTME

The online application will commence from Monday, 12th October to Friday, 22nd January 2025.

SCREENING FEE: N2,000.00.

Eligible candidate should log on to the Academy website www.maritimeacademy.gov.ng and take the following steps:

• Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal
• Login with UTME number as Username and Jamb Score as Password
• Generate and Print the Payment Slip
• Proceed to any of the banks listed on the application portal dashboard to make payment using eTranzact Payment Platform or pay online
• Return to the Academy Portal to Complete the Registration Form.

ADVISORY:

• Candidates with incomplete registration will be automatically disqualified.
• The Academy has zero tolerance for drug abuse, bullying or any social violence. Applicants found wanting shall lose his/her cadetship.
