A team of officials from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), led by Dr. (Mrs.) Fatima Kabir Umar, Director of the NEW TVET Institution Registration Department, visited Iseyin over the weekend for an implementation and physical infrastructure inspection visit.

This visit is part of the accreditation process for four courses at the Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology.

The team met with the College’s Proprietor, Mr. Adewale Owoseni, the Acting Provost, Mr. Peter Ibiyosi, and other members of the management team. They were taken on a tour of the school facilities after several meetings.

After the visit, Dr. Umar spoke with journalists, stating that the purpose of the visit was to assess the institution’s readiness to offer courses in medical and health technology.

She mentioned, “We came to inspect the masterplan implementation and physical infrastructure of the school, and we are impressed with what we saw on the ground.”

Mr. Owoseni, the Proprietor, expressed confidence in the institution’s ability to train students who will positively impact medical practice in Nigeria and beyond.

He highlighted that the NBTE team came to inspect the school for three courses: National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, National Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology, and National Diploma in Community Health Technology.

He emphasized the importance of these courses in the medical industry and the institution’s commitment to training students who will not only receive certificates but also have employment opportunities or establish their own health facilities.

Mr. Owoseni expressed gratitude to the NBTE team, led by Dr. Fatima Kabir Umar, for their visit and guidance on areas that need improvement for speedy accreditation.
