The admission list contains the names of candidates admitted into the university’s various undergraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Admission lists are usually released by institutions after the conduct of the admission screening exercise. It comes in different batches; 1st batch (Merit List), followed by 2nd, 3rd and other batches.

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) was conceived and funded by the Akwa Ibom State Government. Akwa Ibom State University is a conventional, multi-campus institution.

The main campus is located at Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area. The next campus is located at Obio Akpa, Oruk Anam Local Government Area.

Full academic activities in Akwa Ibom State University started on 1st November 2010, with the admission of the first batch of 300 students in the Main (Mkpat Enin) and Obio Akpa Campuses for the 2010/2011 academic session.

1. Go to the AKSU admission status checking portal at https://www.aksu.edu.ng/AL/.
2. Click on ‘Check Status‘.
3. Enter your JAMB registration number in the required column.
4. Finally, click on ‘Search‘ to access your AKSU admission status.

Admitted candidates are expected to proceed and pay their acceptance fee within Two (2) weeks from the date of the release of the admission list.

Candidates successfully admitted into Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) degree programs are advised to:

• Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
• Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
• Print their original JAMB result slip (this comes with passport photography affixed to it).
• Apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal in case they are offered courses different from the ones they initially applied for.

Candidates can also access their AKSU admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by following the procedure outlined below:

1. Go to the JAMB admission portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility_/.

2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.

3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.

4. Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required column.

5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your AKSU admission status.

AKSU Registration and Screening for New Students

PLEASE NOTE:

• You are expected to accept your Admission on Jamb CAPS via http://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility../. See How to Reject/Accept Your Admission on JAMB CAPS.
• You are expected to proceed and pay your acceptance fee within Two (2) weeks from the date of the release of the admission list.
• Then complete your Bio-data form online and get your access code for course registration and school fee payment.

Guidelines for Payment of Acceptance Fee

1. Visit http://www.portal.aksu.edu.ng/.
2. Click “Register Now”.
3. Click “Admission”.
4. Then Click “Bio Data”.
5. Enter your Jamb Number and click “Verify”.
6. Click “click to make payment link on the right side of the page’
7. Print the pre-analysis slip and take the slip to the bank. Please note, all payment is made through the e-transact platform.

Biodata Registration

1. After payment, follow steps 1-5 again
2. Then click the “>” sign on the right end of your screen.
3. Fill in the Biodata Form to obtain an access code that will be used throughout the duration of your study. Kindly note it down.

School Fees Payment

1. Visit http://www.portal.aksu.edu.ng.
2. Enter your jamb Registration number and the Access Code written on the Bio-data form on the student login panel.
3. On the dashboard, click payment to proceed. Select your level and semester and click “PAY”
4. Select your payment platform “BANK OR ONLINE”
5. If you choose “BANK” Print the pre-analysis and proceed to the bank to make payment for school fees

Course Registration

1. To register courses, confirm the courses you are to register from the department.
2. Repeat steps 1-2 of the school fees payment section above.
3. Then click “courses”.
4. Select the level and semester.
5. Then click load.
6. Select your courses and click “Register”.
7. Print your course form and then proceed to your department.
